Are You Clairvoyant? Busting 5 BIG Myths About Psychic Sight
A Real Talk for Empaths & Intuitives
There are so many popular TV shows these days — Long Island Medium, Tyler Henry, James Van Praagh — and endless gifted mediums and spiritual guides on social media. It can all seem magical, even unattainable. You might think, “Well, they clearly have the gift. But that’s not me.”
That’s what I thought too. But is that really the case?
Right now, more people than ever are signing up for yoga, booking spiritual retreats, and learning to meditate. We’re collectively waking up and asking deeper questions. We’re not just looking for answers out there — we’re starting to realize the importance of tuning in. Developing our own intuition and learning to trust it might just be the most important skill of our time.
And that’s the key. We’re moving away from relying on someone else’s intuition and stepping into the knowing that we each have access to our own inner wisdom.
Although I had a meditation practice, I would never have called myself clairvoyant. I knew I was sensitive, intuitive, and spiritual… but clairvoyant? That felt like a completely different level — like knowing someone’s future or being able to see spirits floating around. I thought that was something only “the gifted” could do.
That all changed when I found myself, almost by accident, in a clairvoyant training program. A friend invited me to a class where she was receiving her training, and I decided to try the first class. When I walked in, there was an actual sign on the wall that said “Psychic Kindergarten.” At the time, the Harry Potter books were quite popular, so naturally, we all started calling it our version of Hogwarts. We laughed about it, but what we were learning wasn’t fantasy — it was real, grounded work that encouraged us to tap into our own spiritual abilities, right here and now.
I realized I had no clue how to manage my own energy. I was taking on everything around me and not even aware of it. But through this program, I was introduced to a structured method of meditation designed not just to feel better, but to help others — and to open up our natural spiritual abilities.
It wasn’t magic. It was technique.
And it wasn’t reserved for “special” people. It was available to everyone.
I came to understand that clairvoyance is something we all have. It’s part of our built-in equipment — we’ve just never been taught how to use it. And right now, more than ever before, people are waking up and wanting to learn.
🔸 Let’s Start With What Clairvoyance Is Not
To really understand clairvoyance, it helps to clear out the biggest myths:
It’s not about seeing ghosts everywhere you go.
This is one of the biggest misconceptions. Clairvoyance is usually subtle and internal, not like a horror movie. It doesn’t mean you can predict everyone’s future.
Clairvoyance isn’t about “fortune-telling” — it’s about seeing energy and truth in the moment. It’s not a 24/7 ability that you can turn on and read anyone at any time.
In fact, that would be incredibly overwhelming and unethical. Boundaries are important here too. It’s not scary.
Despite what Hollywood shows us, clairvoyance is simply a way of perceiving. It's not spooky. It’s empowering.
🔸 So, What Is Clairvoyance?
Clairvoyance is tuning in to your inner knowing. It’s learning to see with your inner eye — not in a big flashy movie-screen way, but in subtle impressions, images, and symbols. It’s when you can sense what’s true, often through visual impressions or metaphors that arise when you're grounded and present.
It’s learning to see the truth in a situation — even when it’s hidden beneath the surface.
It’s also a way of helping others. When we can see what’s really going on energetically, we can offer clarity, healing, and support without taking on someone else's experience.
And like any new skill, it gets better with practice. There is a real structure to learning how to tap into your clairs — and it’s similar to learning a sport or a new instrument. If you’ve got a great coach or teacher, you’ll move much faster and with more confidence.
Here’s what I’ve seen again and again: the more you validate your experiences — the moments when your intuition was spot-on, or you saw something in meditation that turned out to be meaningful — the stronger the ability becomes. It’s like sending a signal to the universe: “I’m paying attention. Show me more.”
🔸 How Do You Practice Clairvoyance?
It doesn’t have to be complicated or dramatic. Here are two of my favorite simple exercises you can try today:
1. Visualize Your First Car
Sit quietly, feet flat, eyes closed and relaxed with your awareness in the center of the head. Call up an image of the very first car you ever had. Imagine walking around it — not just the driver’s side, but the passenger side, the back, underneath. Visualize it in detail. This kind of creative inner seeing starts to awaken your clairvoyant space.
2. Tune In Before an Event or Work
Before going to a gathering or meeting, sit quietly and ask, “Is there someone I need to connect with today?” See if you get an image, a color, a sense of someone — maybe male or female, tall or short. Just notice. You’re tuning in to see and know truth for yourself.
These are the kinds of simple steps that help build your confidence and connection to your own spiritual sight.
💜 Final Thoughts
If you’ve ever felt like clairvoyance was out of reach, that is especially common. I used to feel that way too. But the truth is, you already have it in you, it is standard equipment for all of us.
You’re not broken. You’re not behind. You’re not waiting for a gift to arrive — it’s already there.
What you need is space, practice, and someone to remind you that it’s safe to open your inner seeing.
This is the time. We're not just talking about spiritual awakening anymore. We're embodying it. And clairvoyance isn’t about being special — it’s about being tuned in to the subtle world around us.
So if you’ve been curious, trust that nudge. Try the exercises. Take a class. Let your inner vision speak.
